Functional & Automation Test Analyst - 6 Month OutsideIR35 Contract £450 Per Day - Edinburgh

A leading public sector organisation is seeking a Functional & Automation Test Analyst to support digital transformation across multiple projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-driven testing professional to shape testing strategy, build automation frameworks, and lead quality assurance efforts in a dynamic Agile environment.

📍 Location: Edinburgh
📅 Duration: 6 month contract - possible extension to 24 months

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement functional and automation test strategies
• Build and maintain reusable test frameworks across web, mobile, and cloud platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust testing solutions
• Lead testing activities and produce high-quality test documentation

Essential Skills:

• 5-8 years' automation testing experience (Selenium, Cypress, Webdriver I/O)
• Strong knowledge of tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, Cucumber, Postman
• Experience with cloud-based testing (Azure), APIs, and cross-platform automation
• ISTQB/ISEB certified with excellent stakeholder communication skills
