Data Engineer - Financial Services - £450/day Inside IR35
Our client, a leading organisation in the financial services sector, is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support a large-scale on-premise to cloud migration. You'll play a key role in ensuring existing on-prem reporting remains operational throughout the transition.
Key Details:
- Location: London (1 day/week in office)
- Rate: Up to £450/day, Inside IR35
- Contract: Until end of 2025, with strong potential to extend
- Working Model: Hybrid
Key Skills (in order of priority):
- SQL (advanced)
- Python
- SAS
Desirable Experience:
- Building and maintaining data pipelines (ideally using AWS: S3, Glue, Athena, EMR)
- Spark, Hadoop, or other big data frameworks
- Data modelling (star/snowflake schemas), governance, and compliance awareness
