Graduate Master Data Analyst

Role Overview

My client are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Master Data Analyst to join our team. This role is integral to our data management and governance initiatives and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our data quality and integrity.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
  • Understanding of data quality metrics and KPIs.
  • Previous experience in a data analyst or similar role (internships or projects).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with data cleansing techniques and tools.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead data cleansing activities by identifying and rectifying inconsistencies in our datasets.
  • Assist in the rollout of new data governance procedures aimed at tightening our data management practices.
  • Utilise initiative to continuously improve our data quality processes.
  • Quickly adapt to new technologies and methodologies relating to data management.
  • Work independently to manage tasks and projects effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data standards are met.
  • Analyse and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights.
  • Support the development and implementation of data policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of data processes and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Graduate with a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and visualise complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in data management software and technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
