(Financial) Planning Analyst

Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days per week)

Salary: Up to £79,000 + 15% Bonus

Overview:

We're working with a global financial services organisation looking for a Planning Analyst to join their high-performing finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting financial planning and forecasting across multiple regions and legal entities, contributing to strategic decision-making and performance management.

This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical skills and a collaborative approach to join a dynamic, international business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of financial planning and forecasting processes across multiple business units and regions.
  • Develop core planning outputs and templates to support internal reporting and executive presentations.
  • Collaborate with finance business partners and regional teams to ensure timely and accurate plan submissions.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of planning tools and systems.
  • Monitor planning timelines and ensure adherence to key milestones.
  • Provide analysis and insights to support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Help document planning assumptions and maintain a clear audit trail of key decisions and drivers.
  • Champion data quality and integrity throughout the planning cycle.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and tools.

What We're Looking For:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis within the insurance sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to data interpretation and reporting.
  • Able to handle large sets of data, model building and able to present effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functions and levels.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with planning/reporting tools (e.g. SAP, Anaplan, Power BI).
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and process integrity.
