Trade Validation Analyst
Purpose, scope and responsibilities
The role is part of the Trade Validation department, reporting directly to the Global Head of Macro and Credit Derivatives Trade Validation. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the strategy and objectives of the BNPP Murex Decom project, as well as contributing to the MAD Decom and migration project.
· Support the Murex Decom (Hudson) project team in delivering its objectives and the implementation of the migration strategy
· Conduct UAT Testing of FO-BO systems
· Provide requirements from a trade booking perspective primarily and identify and raise bugs in the workflow to the relevant IT teams
· Coordinate with other operational teams to drive gathering of requirements and coordinate with the project team and IT to log and push any development for prioritisation.
· Recognise challenges and risk to individual FO-BO systems applications and reporting that requires wider programme support, escalating effectively to your manager and the project team
· Partner and coordinate with IT, Quants, control functions and the project team to identify issues with the migration stream and propose solutions
· Providing an honest, transparent assessment of the project status and RAID from a trade support perspective to your manager and the project team
· Promote the team work ethic, dynamic and attitude through effective collaboration
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
· Typically requires a university degree as an indicator of an ability to understand and apply complex theoretical concepts, although may have progressed into the role via equivalent business experience in a top tier investment bank or similar. Relevant Master's degree desirable.
· Experience in Rates products and trade support processes, systems and trade processing workflow on all levels of trade complexity.
· Experience in operational roles
· Knowledge and understanding of operational risk and permanent control framework.
· Effective time management and ability to prioritise workload and escalate issues to management.
· Knowledge of company-wide policies, procedures, regulations and legislation and understanding of operational risk and permanent control framework.
· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate technical concepts and provide specialist guidance and advice to others.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise independently
· Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail and able to review and improve work of more junior colleagues.
· Excellent written and oral English skills to articulate technical issues; to be able to take the complex and make simple; to enable effective communication with the business
· Good Stakeholders management skills and ability to collaborate across teams
· Computer literacy and a good knowledge of standard computer software and able to learn and utilise specialist applications appropriately
