Solution Architect

2/3 days per week in the office

Our client is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join their team on a contract basis.

It is a hybrid role and the offices are based in Central London.

They are looking for someone ideally with Finance and SAP architecture experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and govern an end-to-end solution design, for a project, programme and change requests, for the domain ensuring this remains aligned to our Principles, Tech Priorities and Roadmaps.
  • Establish & maintain strong stakeholder engagements to ensure trusted relationships with key business, IT, and 3rd party contacts.
  • Be accountable for the quality of the overall solution delivered through change, and maintaining up-to-date architecture repository data reflecting the current state.
  • Manage design process alignment between internal and external partners and support the wider IT relationship with any technology vendors.
  • Ensure with known business function priorities and roadmaps, agreeing design changes and trade-offs where pragmatic balancing the need to minimise IT/Technical Debt.
  • Own Architecture Review Board (ARB), Design Authority (DA) and solution approvals.and manage IT/Technical Debt within your domain, appropriately balancing risk, cost and value to the business.
  • Provide oversight, management of the IT Estate, for the domain to ensure risks are identified and are mitigated appropriately.
  • Ensure duplication of capability is minimised, as well as ensuring solutions are well documented and accessible.
  • Support strategic decision making and retain the ability to remain agile as result of events.
  • Translate Tower & IT strategies into IT investment portfolio plans.
  • Deliver migration plans from the NOW to the THEN.
  • Support Request for Information (RFI) / Request for Proposal (RFP) / Dynamic Sourcing and Vendor selection through a standardised approach and assessment tools.
  • Engage with and foster an Architecture Community for connects with internal and external industry SMEs and stay to-date and embrace the latest trends of Technology.
