Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term
Salary: £45,894 with excellent benefits and pension
Our Public Sector client is embarking on a series of ambitious transformation programmes aimed at modernising justice services for the people of Scotland. These national initiatives are designed to enhance support for victims and families, improve service delivery, and empower our staff through innovative change.
They require a Business Change Project Manager to lead and deliver high-profile, enterprise-level projects. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to shape and implement impactful change across Scotland's justice system.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex projects from initiation through to closure and transition to Business as Usual (BAU).
- Develop and manage detailed project plans using appropriate methodologies to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to meet challenging objectives and timelines.
- Produce and manage robust Business Cases through the full project lifecycle.
- Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and assumptions within governance frameworks.
- Oversee multi-million-pound project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and resource alignment.
- Maintain a clear audit trail in line with approved standards.
- Lead integrated testing plans and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for successful implementation.
- Monitor cost-benefit outcomes and ensure benefits realisation.
- Manage interdependencies across internal and external projects.
- Report progress and key deliverables to the Portfolio Management Office.
- Chair project meetings and present updates to senior stakeholders.
- Build team capability through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects within the public sector or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of project governance, financial planning, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across organisational boundaries.
- Experience in delivering transformation and change in a high-profile setting.
