Lorien is currently recruiting for a Procurement and Commercial Lead to join our client on a 6 month initial contract, inside IR35.

In this role, you will lead a procurement and commercial team within a large IT change programme. The role holder will lead a team of procurement and commercial professionals, managing a complex supplier ecosystem, to ensure the programme delivers on time and to budget.

What you will do in this role is:

• Put in place procurement and commercial contracting strategies and governance to manage the supplier ecosystem
• Lead the commercial engagement with up to 10 key supply chain partners
• Demonstrate we are receiving value for money from the supply chain

The skills required in order to be successful in the position:

• Have lead the procurement activity within a large IT change programme
• Are a self starter, well organised and think several steps ahead
• Can deploy optimum contracting approaches based on requirements and where there are multiple dependencies
• Lead SRM engagements and implement supplier scorecards
• Can develop procurement strategies
