2nd Line IT Support Engineer
Location: Hybrid - 1/2days a month at a local site.
Duration: 6 month initial contract with potential for extension.
Pay rate: £Negotiable- Via Umbrella
Lorien's Leading High Street Banking Client is looking for additional 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join them on an ongoing project.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join the team on an initial 6-month contract.
The ideal candidate will bring a broad range of technical expertise and a strong problem-solving mindset to support virtual desktop environments and resolve escalated technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd line support for a wide range of IT issues across the business.
- Manage and resolve escalated tickets and technical queries efficiently.
- Support and troubleshoot Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) including VMWare, Citrix, and Remote Desktop environments.
- Deliver high-quality remote desktop support to end users.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
- Maintain detailed documentation of issues, resolutions, and procedures.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in 2nd line IT support roles.
- Strong working knowledge of VMWare, Citrix, and Virtual Desktop environments.
- Experience with Remote Desktop Support tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
