Datacentre Engineer

Based around the East Lothian area - must be within easy commute

• 37.5hr week (7.5hr day)
• Immediate start date
• Short term contract (3 months)
• Rota of early/late shift
• Requirement for oncall cover out of hours including weekends (1 in 4)
• There may be a requirement to travel between 2 local Datacentres

Key Duties Include:

• Providing 3rd Level Hardware break fix to HPE X86 estates
• Providing full IMAC service (install/Decom/Moves) across DC's leveraging the customer and manufactures tools, such as Part surfer, Intelligent provisioning, CMDB, ServiceNow.
• Providing a smart hands service to client IT Security team, across all of their Datacentre located kit, from initial troubleshooting up to replacing the entire unit through a RMA process, then installing and providing base configuration for the replacement device to allow IT Security to obtain remote access
• Providing Tape Management (Ejects/loads) for the Remote Backup team
