Lorien's leading banking client is looking for an experienced Software Engineer with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and React to join the existing team on an initial 6month contract.

This role is based in Edinburgh.

This role will be Via Umbrella.

Working in a Hybrid Model of 1 day a week on site.

Key Skills and Experiences

• Delivery of high-quality software through configuration and customisation with a focus on reuse, adding value to the business and aligning to bank standards, patterns and guardrails.
• Experience of working within Financial Services/High Street Banking
• Strong Skills working with:
• Java
• Spring Boot
• React
• Refactor and redesign toolkit architecture for improved usability and scalability.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Spring Boot.
• Build responsive and intuitive front-end interfaces using React.
• Ensure mobile compatibility and performance across platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on technical solutions.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
• Liaises with business stakeholders, principal Engineers, architects in the domain to shape and successfully deliver projects
