About the Role

As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and technical expertise to the company's Estates and Technical Services team. Your primary duties will include:

• Serving as a design champion and ensuring a suite of suitable design standards are available and regularly reviewed
• Offering project-specific guidance, advice, and assistance to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes
• Promoting quality design and its contribution to the company's goals and user satisfaction
• Coordinating business and design improvement initiatives
• Providing technical support to Project Managers and Estates Maintenance teams
• Undertaking inspections and audits to ensure compliance and safe operating conditions

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate for this Senior Mechanical Engineer role will possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Degree-level qualification in a relevant Mechanical discipline
• Membership in a relevant professional body
• Comprehensive experience in Mechanical design, design management, and process, particularly in significant infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and positively influence others to achieve desired project outputs and deliverables
• Experience in undertaking, researching, and developing strategic and/or specific responses to an estates business needs
