Technical services specialist
The Resources Central Maintenance Planning Team is seeking a highly motivated Technical Services Specialist with strong Maintenance Planning experience, specifically in Maximo Job Plan development and Human Performance-based procedure writing.
The ideal candidate brings a bias for action, excels at building productive working relationships, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role requires the ability to work independently with moderate direction, adapt to shifting priorities, and consistently meet or exceed project commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, validate, and optimize Maximo Job Plans, including labor, materials, tools, permits, and detailed task-level work instructions.
Create, revise, and enhance Human Performance-based maintenance procedures aligned with industry standards and FPL/Nextera governance.
Support testing, validation, and user feedback cycles for Automated Planning and Procedure Writing tools.
Partner with planners, SMEs, and stakeholders across multiple sites to capture technical requirements and integrate best practices into job plans and procedures.
Highly Desired Credentials & Experience
Extensive Maximo experience, specifically:
Job Plan development
Job Plan revision, cleanup, and optimization
Understanding of planning-related applications, fields, hierarchies, and workflows
Demonstrated experience in Human Performance Procedure Development or structured procedure-writing methodologies.
Prior power plant maintenance planning experience (generation, transmission, or industrial maintenance also considered).
Working knowledge of industry procedure-writing standards (INPO, EPRI, or equivalent).
Proficiency in:
MS Excel - Intermediate (formulas, lookups, data validation, filtering, pivot tables)
MS PowerPoint - Basic to Intermediate (leadership-level presentations)
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with cross-functional teams and technical stakeholders.
