Low Voltage Cable Technician

Low Voltage Cable Technician - Northern Virginia

Location: Must be open to working in Northern VA markets (Ashburn, Manassas, Alexandria)

Contract to Hire: 6 month contract to hire with the potential to be converted to full-time depending on performance, attendance, etc.

Pay Rates: $19-$24/hour (Depending on experience)

Shift: Monday-Friday (6:00am - 4:00pm) - Must be flexible for overtime as required. OT expected on Saturdays.

Ideal Candidate Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in structured cabling or related construction.
• Commercial fiber optic experience required for Technician Level 2.
• Skilled in testing low voltage systems, rack/cabinet build outs, and patch panel terminations.
• Familiar with CAT5/CAT6 and fiber optic cabling.
• Ability to identify standard color codes.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and time management.
• Willing to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.

Requirements:

• OSHA 10 is required. (Paid for if you do not have one already. Must have before start date.)
• Valid Driver's License
• Must be able to pass background and drug screen prior to starting.

PPE Needed:

• Safety toed shoes (composite are required due to data center requirements - will get reimbursed up to $100 if you do not have already)
