Location: Houston, TX (hybrid schedule, Tues-Thur in office / Mon & Fri remote)
6 month contract, w/ potential for extension
Pay Rate: $55 - 58/hr
Top skills needed: Coupa heavy and will need to optimize Coupa, especially in supplier onboarding, sourcing, and contractor risks. Also need to have a strong procurement process w/ mapping and change management.
Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Coupa Sourcing Specialist to lead the evaluation and enhancement of our current use of the Coupa platform. This role will focus on optimizing work related to supplier onboarding, RFP management, contract lifecycle, and risk review. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience implementing and improving Coupa systems and will be responsible for recommending improvements, executing changes, and training internal stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions
- Conduct a comprehensive review of current Coupa processes across supplier onboarding, RFPs, contract management, and risk modules.
- Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for automation or simplification.
- Benchmark current usage against best practices and industry standards
- Design and implement optimized workflows within Coupa to improve usability, compliance, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Legal, Risk, IT) to align improvements with business needs.
- Configure and test Coupa modules to support new processes and enhancement, as needed.
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions tailored to various user groups.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to employees during and after implementation.
- Champion adoption and ensure consistent usage of improved processes.
- Create documentation for new processes, configurations, and training guides.
- Track and report on KPIs related to Coupa usage and process improvements.
- Maintain a feedback loop with users to continuously refine and enhance the platform.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience implementing and optimizing Coupa platforms, especially in supplier onboarding, sourcing, contracts, and risk.
- Strong understanding of procurement and sourcing processes.
- Experience in process mapping, change management, and training delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement..
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems or related fields.
Experience/Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Supply Chain and/or IT Support roles.
- Coupa certifications or formal training.
- Experience with procurement transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with compliance and risk frameworks in supplier managementExperience in a process-focused role is a plus. This could include procurement operations/sourcing, systems management, IT or consulting.
Other Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency in JDE preferred
- Strong analytical and data-driven-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Good financial acumen
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain trusting relationships
- Ability to meet project deadlines and manage resources accordingly
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office on Tuesday through Thursday. On Mondays and Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home. Remote would only be considered on a case-by-case basis if not residing in Houston area.
