DC Power Technician - Level 1 (or) 2
Kent, WA


Level 1: $25-27/hr. ($52k - $56/yr)
Level 2: $28-33/hr. ($58k - $68.6k/yr)


We're hiring Level 1 or 2, DC Power Technician to join our growing team in the Seattle region. This role will support the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of DC power systems across the telecom and industrial sectors. Whether you're newer to the trade or bring a few years of hands-on experience, we offer structured training, strong benefits, and advancement opportunities. Candidate must be willing to travel frequently throughout the Seattle region with the potential overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Depending on experience level, duties may include:
  • Install batteries and rectifier battery plants (all voltages)
  • Perform ironwork and mount cable racks with awareness of Zone 4 seismic requirements
  • Upgrade and replace DC power plants and associated distribution equipment (PBDs, BDFBs, BCDBBs, inverters, converters)
  • Run, lace, and terminate DC power cabling (lug crimping, taping, etc.)
  • Take voltage and gravity readings from battery strings
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
  • Assist with AC power work (ranging from 120V single-phase to 480V three-phase systems)



Qualifications:

  • Level 1: Entry-level to 1 year of experience working in DC power or related mechanical/electrical trades
  • Level 2: 2+ years of direct experience with DC power systems, including...
    • battery plant installs and distribution upgrades
    • experience running, lacing, and terminating DC power cabling (lug crimping, taping, etc.)
    • Able to work in various weather and job site conditions
    • Reliable transportation and ability to travel regionally as needed
