Position Title: Engineering Technician, Data (T1)
Remote - East Coast based
Short Description
An Engineering Technician (ET) is responsible for data input and will assist in the structural analysis of tower assets. An ET should be able to identify equipment data points obtained through drone scans, photo databases, computer aided drawings (CAD), structural analysis reports, and other field generated reports for use in engineering tools. The ET is responsible for quality of asset data and to oversee all proposed changes to the antenna structure are considered in the newest Structural Analysis. The ET must organize priorities, update project notes and documents, track project progression, and effectively communicate with internal and external teammates to meet customer goals and expectations.
Role
An Engineering Technician (ET) is responsible for adding new equipment to the TNX model, as well as changing existing equipment that has been identified by Data TSAs (Tower Structural Analysts). The ET will update all standard tools and run the analysis, then compile the report. An experienced engineer will then QA the analysis and stamp and sign. The ET may be asked to rerun an SA if there are errors found. An ET must be able to manage their workload, by identifying sites best suited for their abilities. The ET must prioritize work by due dates, update project notes, and effectively communicate with internal and external teammates to meet customer goals and expectations.
Responsibilities
- Transfer data from multiple sources (drone scans, computer aided drawings (CAD), documents) into engineering tools
- Collaborate with all TSAs
- Work closely with engineers and management to ensure data integrity and work orders meet all deadlines
- Understands expectations to anticipate, prioritize, and deliver on stakeholder needs
- Support initiatives to support process improvements through timely feedback and idea sharing to meet company objectives
- Is passionate about achieving excellent results and contributing significantly to organizational outcomes
- Remains focused on achieving key goals, even in the face of obstacles and setbacks
- Maintains a positive outlook and embraces change as an opportunity for learning and growth

Education
- Highschool diploma required
- Engineering Technician Certificate (not required, but preferred)
