RAN Test & Integration Engineer (LTE/5G) - Lab

Role Summary
You will integrate, test, and validate new Ericsson radio software/hardware in a lab environment, find and drive resolution of defects before network-wide rollout, and support customer acceptance (e.g., T-Mobile process). You'll work closely with Ericsson development units, customer units, CPMs, and the customer, and contribute to test automation to improve speed and coverage.
What You'll Do
- Integrate, configure, and validate LTE/5G RAN nodes (BBU/baseband, radios) in lab facilities; support initial/first-market applications.
- Plan and execute regression and feature test campaigns aligned to a Test Object List (TOL); perform risk assessments and demo new SW/HW capabilities.
- Run proof-of-concept testing for pre-commercial products and next-gen RAN equipment.
- Troubleshoot SW/HW issues, analyze logs/KPIs, isolate faults, and drive the defect lifecycle with engineering (PDU/DU) and CPMs; act as a liaison with the customer.
- Support NPI projects across multiple bands/technologies; maintain configuration control, versioning, rollback, and documentation.
- Prepare and present customer acceptance reports for feature/regression results.
- Contribute to test automation (e.g., Python/Robot/Jenkins) to accelerate repeatable testing.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Hands-on experience in RAN integration/test (LTE/5G NR) within OEM/operator/vendor lab environments.
- Proven execution of regression/feature/acceptance testing and authoring of clear test/acceptance reports.
- Strong troubleshooting & log analysis skills (Linux/CLI, syslogs, pcaps/Wireshark, KPIs) and use of defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Comfortable coordinating scope/resources/timelines with a Customer Project Manager (CPM) and presenting to customers.
- Familiarity with Ericsson eNodeB/gNodeB, BBU/baseband bring-up, SW load/rollback, and multi-band radio operations.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Ericsson RAN toolchains and North American carrier acceptance (e.g., T-Mobile).
- Python / Robot Framework scripting and CI exposure (Jenkins).
- RF/test instruments (Keysight/Anritsu), simulators, traffic generators.
- Prior FOA/first-market or NPI introduction experience.
