In-Building DAS Construction Manager

Role Overview:
The In-Building DAS Construction Manager leads the planning and execution of in-building wireless/DAS projects, with a strong focus on Ericsson DOT refresh work for a major carrier. This role oversees subcontractors, enforces quality and safety standards, manages timelines and budgets, and serves as the face of the program in a growing Southeast market.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple DAS construction projects from site survey through closeout.
- Oversee and coordinate subcontractors for installation, testing, and integration; drive accountability for schedule, quality, and safety.
- Travel throughout Charlotte region and potential outskirts (per-diem provided)
- Perform or supervise hands-on DAS work when needed, including cable/coax/fiber handling and RF/fiber testing.
- Act as primary point of contact with building owners, AHJs, carriers/OEMs, and internal stakeholders.
- Track project budgets, schedules, risks, and documentation; deliver closeout packages including redlines/as-builts and test results.
- Collaborate closely with Project Management, Engineering, and Construction Operations for seamless deployments.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in telecommunications construction; 3+ years specific to in-building/DAS or small cell construction management.
- Current DAS experience (not dated) with subcontractor oversight.
- Required: Verizon DAS systems and Ericsson DOT platforms.
- Preferred OEMs: JMA, SOLiD, CommScope.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, RFDs, and wireless construction safety/quality standards.
- Proficient with spectrum analyzers, PIM analyzers, OTDR, fiber fusion splicers, compression connector tools.
- Skilled in operation of bucket trucks and aerial lifts (including boom) in public ROWs.
- Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to potentially travel out of market (per-diem provided)
