Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Software Development Manager to lead multiple application development workstreams. This role is responsible for overseeing cross-functional teams-including developers and QA engineers-and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for mentoring teams and driving continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple cross-functional development teams and their technical leads.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) across a portfolio of applications.
  • Mentor and coach developers and QA engineers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Collaborate with product management, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to align priorities and resources.
  • Drive architectural decisions and technical strategy in alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies, secure coding standards, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Monitor and optimize team performance, delivery velocity, and quality metrics.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical problem-solving when needed.
  • Support requirements gathering, estimation, design, and iterative development activities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 7+ years of experience managing multiple software development teams or workstreams.
  • Strong background in the Microsoft technology stack: C#, .NET Core, SQL Server.
  • Deep understanding of Azure services, including App Services, Azure DevOps, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Expertise in web application security and secure development practices.
  • Proven experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical involvement.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Microsoft Azure or .NET certifications.
