Analyst, System Support
Position Summary:
The System Support Analyst will serve as a Cloud Engineer within the Cloud Migration team, responsible for building, supporting, automating, and optimizing secure and scalable cloud infrastructure. This role requires strong technical expertise in full-stack Java, cloud platforms, and infrastructure automation, along with the ability to collaborate across DevOps, security, and application teams.
Key Responsibilities
*Monitor cloud environments using tools like Azure Monitor or AWS CloudWatch to detect performance issues, outages, or anomalies.
*Provision and update infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
*Manage and troubleshoot Linux/Unix-based systems using Bash or Python scripting.
*Deploy and support full-stack Java applications, including JSPs and JavaScript components.
*Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to integrate services, deploy updates, and optimize resource usage.
*Develop and document technical standards and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
*Evaluate and implement cloud-native security tools and practices as needed.
Experience:
*6 years of technical experience in systems analysis, design, programming, or related IT roles
Technical Skills:
*Full-stack Java development (JSPs, JavaScript, etc.)
*Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS (VMs, networking, storage, identity management)
*Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or ARM templates)
*Linux/Unix systems administration and scripting
*Cloud monitoring and management tools (Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch)
*Agile Business Analyst experience
Preferred Qualifications:
*Familiarity with cloud-native security tools (e.g., Azure Security Center, AWS IAM policies)
*Understanding of best practices for securing cloud infrastructure in regulated environments
*Experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, or containerized workloads
Soft Skills
*Communication: Able to clearly explain technical concepts and collaborate across teams.
*Skilled in troubleshooting system-level issues and optimizing infrastructure.
*Initiative: Proactively identifies and implements improvements in cloud operations.
*Adaptability: Comfortable working in dynamic cloud environments and adjusting to evolving project needs.
