Senior Cloud Engineer
The System Support Analyst will serve as a Cloud Network Engineer within the Cloud Migration team, responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing secure and scalable cloud network infrastructures. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic planning and collaboration across security, DevOps, and application teams to ensure high-performing cloud connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
*Design and configure cloud network components including VNets, VPCs, VPN Gateways, NSGs, and Load Balancers across Azure and AWS.
*Monitor and troubleshoot network performance using tools like Azure Network Watcher, AWS CloudWatch, or SolarWinds.
*Configure and maintain VPN technologies for secure cloud and hybrid environments.
*Automate network provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integrations, resolve connectivity issues, and implement network changes.
*Develop and document technical standards and ensure alignment with compliance requirements.
*Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for future cloud network architectures.
Experience:
*8 years of technical experience in systems analysis, design, programming, or related IT roles
Technical Skills:
*Cloud networking experience with Azure VNets, AWS VPCs, Route Tables, NSGs, VPN Gateways, Load Balancers
*Proficiency with VPN technologies
*Network monitoring and diagnostics using AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or similar tools
*Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or ARM templates
*Agile methodology experience
Preferred Qualifications
*Experience with cloud automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
*Ability to automate network configurations and monitoring tasks to improve efficiency
Soft Skills
*Communication: Able to clearly explain technical concepts and collaborate across teams.
*Problem Solving: Skilled in analyzing logs, packet captures, and alerts to resolve network issues.
*Initiative: Proactively identifies and implements improvements in network performance and security.
*Adaptability: Comfortable working in dynamic cloud environments and adjusting to evolving project needs.
