Technical Business Analyst

• Technical Business Analyst - Cloud & API Integration

  We are seeking a technically proficient Business Analyst to support a backend-focused development team working on loyalty and rewards systems, including co-branded partnerships, discount mechanisms, and backend service management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in cloud migration environments and has a strong grasp of API ecosystems.

  Role Overview
  This position involves supporting backend development initiatives, particularly the transition of legacy systems to cloud-based infrastructure. The analyst will collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into technical deliverables.

  Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Prior experience supporting cloud-based development teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and tools such as AWS, Python, Java, Terraform, or CloudFormation is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of API architecture, including making and analyzing API calls.
  • Experience working with APIs embedded in Java applications hosted on Unix environments.
  • Exposure to data-driven user interfaces and integrating analytics into UI functionality.
  • General understanding of backend systems and how they interact with frontend components.

  Core Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most effective approach.
  • Estimate effort and value for proposed solutions.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of work through structured validation and dependency checks.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and manage work with a sense of urgency.
  • Communicate technical and business requirements clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Monitor and escalate risks, issues, and scope changes as needed.
