Generic Job Description NameFunctional System Validation Laboratory Technician
ObjectiveFunctional System (software) Validation Laboratory Technician will be primarily supporting the Electronic & Digital Experience development team with tasks to deliver functional system (software) validation testing as it relates to cooking appliances. The Functional System Validation Laboratory Technician executes formal test procedures to ensure the functional system conforms to systems level product requirements.
Key responsibilities
  • Conducts functional system validation testing following internally generated test procedures, product level specifications, and records the discrepancies in issue tracking software.
  • Generates functional system test logs from standard laboratory templates.
  • Responsible for functional system validation team support of flashing electronics controls as needed throughout the R&D community.
  • Works in conjunction with the engineering team to analyze test results and suggest improvements to systems, specifications, and consumer use cases.
  • Performs special projects as directed by the lab/department manager.
Key functional qualifications
  • Basic technical knowledge of electrical/electronic functional system in home appliances
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations under workload peaks.
  • Basic technical knowledge of cooking appliances
Generic qualifications
  • Exhibit appropriate professional behavior including positive attitude, sense of urgency, independent judgment, teamwork, creative thinking, and personal integrity to achieve department/corporate goals and objectives.
  • Team spirit and communication skills, share information with group
  • Sense of urgency, timely delivery of test reports is fundamental to overall project timing
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in English, verbally and in writing.
  • Able to stand or sit for much of the shift.
Education/Experience
  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • One (1) year of hands-on experience in a lab environment preferred.
  • One (1) plus years' experience in an R&D environment preferred.
