Security Engineer - Zscaler & Microsoft Purview

Security Engineer with deep expertise in Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX) and Microsoft Purview, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Zero Trust access, secure web gateway, data protection, and digital experience monitoring solutions across enterprise environments.

Key responsibilities include administering Zscaler Internet Access and Private Access, managing Microsoft Purview Information Protection and DLP policies, supporting data classification and governance initiatives, integrating security platforms with SIEM/SOAR solutions, automating operational processes, and driving continuous improvements in secure access, threat prevention, monitoring, and compliance. Utilizes PowerShell, Python, APIs, and enterprise security technologies to troubleshoot issues, reduce risk, support audits, and maintain secure, scalable services.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of security engineering experience in network, cloud, data, or enterprise security.
• Hands-on expertise with Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, and Microsoft Purview Information Protection and DLP.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Zero Trust architecture, networking protocols, identity management, and SIEM/SOAR integrations.
• Experience with automation, scripting, security monitoring, incident response, and enterprise-scale security operations.

Preferred:

• Zscaler and Microsoft security certifications (SC-400, CISSP, CCSP, etc.).
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Insider Risk, eDiscovery, and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI, HIPAA, or FedRAMP.
• Background in data governance, Zero Trust architecture, and enterprise security program development.
