Job Title: Security Software Engineer (crypto services)
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Range: $140,000-$225,000 (dependent on experience level)
Location: Onsite in Costa Mesa, CA

Responsibilities
* Design and develop security‑critical software for embedded, embedded Linux, and Android-based systems.
* Build resilient cryptographic services supporting the full lifecycle of key handling, including loading, storage, usage, and sanitization.
* Develop and execute testing and qualification strategies for mission‑critical security components.
* Collaborate closely with platform, systems, and product teams to translate security requirements into durable implementations.
* Perform code reviews with a strong emphasis on correctness, security posture, and long‑term maintainability.
* Track and adapt to evolving security threats, vulnerabilities, and cryptographic best practices.

Required Qualifications
* Hands‑on experience developing software in Go, Rust, C, or C++.
* Experience selecting, integrating, or working with embedded HSMs and Secure Elements.
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure system design.
* Experience debugging embedded systems using common lab equipment (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.).
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for embedded or mobile systems.
* Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
* Exposure to U.S. Government or regulated key handling requirements.
