AV Technician
This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by consistently striving to exceed the expectations of both internal and external clients. The position maintains strong, positive relationships through clear, proactive communication and meets with guests on site to understand their needs and ensure that all room and equipment setups are functioning properly. It requires actively monitoring events and checking in with customers throughout their duration to provide a seamless experience. The role also supports and strengthens the hotel-client relationship by demonstrating professionalism, responsiveness, and a commitment to service excellence.
TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Installation and Maintenance
- Audio, video and lighting installations
- Installing TV mounts, TV's
- Pulling cables & Termination
- AV Rack Cable Management
- Portable and Integrated Projectors, screens
- Inspect rooms for damage, cleanliness, and document issues to be addressed.
- Troubleshooting A/V equipment when there are technical questions or problems and identifying appropriate solutions.
- Clean and maintain equipment, report damage to the Audio-Visual Lead.
- Installs and maintains VTC hardware and software to ensure quality and reliability and integration with conferees at other global locations.
- Troubleshoots all VTC hardware and software issues and outages
- Provides installation and technical support, and training for all Audio and Video Teleconference systems.
- Installs, pulls wiring, terminates and tests all ATC equipment, cables, connectors, and interfaces.
- Serves as Technical Point of Contact when external AV vendors are onsite

- Barco ClickShare Solutions
- Amplifiers, mixers, microphones (Experience with Live Sound and Integrated DSP)
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with Microsoft Team, Zoom and other Web Conference Solutions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to work at heights (lifts and ladders)
- Strength to climb, crawl and raise objects overhead
- Operates and maintains Video Teleconferencing Component Systems (VTC) and Audio Visual (A/V) suites.
- Provides daily management of site VTC and Conference Room systems such as scheduling VTC with external sites, configuring rooms to meet requirements for scheduled conferences.
- Performs video capturing and transfer video to a media streaming server.
- Serve as on-sight A/V support for events high visibility events
- Provide basic instruction and training on operation of A/V equipment to clients as necessary.
- Assist in Monthly inventory of A/V equipment.
- Assist with event setups and strikes, as necessary.
- Attend A/V team meetings and training sessions.

- Must be able to work weekends and on-call Shifts
- Must be able to Multitask and prioritize client requests effectively.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid Driver's License
- Must have skilled knowledge of computers, Microsoft Suite
- Must have skilled knowledge of Audience Response Systems (ARS)
