Compensation: $45-53.00/hour



Summary
We're seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented Systems Administrator to lead and support enterprise IT operations in a fast-paced, security-conscious environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ownership-heavy positions, enjoys building and refining systems, and brings a proactive approach to infrastructure, automation, and end-user support.



Job Duties

  • Support Windows, Linux, and Mac environments across desktop, server, and network systems.
  • Administer Active Directory and Azure AD for user accounts, access control, and group policies.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 suite (such as SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive) and troubleshoot Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Use tools such as Intune and JAMF for endpoint management across platforms.
  • Automate workflows via PowerShell or Bash scripting.
  • Maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including Azure services and Azure Data Factory.
  • Monitor and remediate security issues using Microsoft 365 Security Center and Tanium.
  • Manage IT assets across their lifecycle, including the procurement, deployment, support, and decommissioning (including inventory control and license compliance).
  • Lead and mentor junior staff; contribute to documentation and team training.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and perform after-hours maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot networking issues (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) to ensure reliable connectivity.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in systems administration or enterprise desktop support.
  • Experience with IT asset management, procurement, and vendor coordination.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows, Linux, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and identity/access management tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, JAMF, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Bash scripting for automation and workflow optimization.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and endpoint security practices.
  • Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams as well as the ability to work fully onsite in San Mateo, CA.
