Contract Software Engineer - Infrastructure & Data Systems

We are seeking a skilled contract software engineer to contribute to infrastructure automation initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with a cross-functional team including software engineers, data scientists, and capacity planners to develop applications in big data and infrastructure domains. The engineer will work with diverse data sources, applying transformations and algorithms to generate high-impact business insights.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data systems and pipelines
• Integrate and process raw data from multiple sources
• Improve data quality and reliability through innovative approaches
• Develop analytical tools, programs, and dashboards
• Identify and implement internal process improvements for scalability and efficiency
• Build ETL workflows using technologies such as AWS, Airflow, Databricks, and SQL
• Create analytical tools to extract actionable insights from infrastructure metrics

Requirements

• Proven experience as a software engineer or in a similar technical role
• Strong background in data modeling, mining, and segmentation
• Proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with SQL and data warehouse platforms like Hive or Databricks
• Experience building dashboards using tools like Tableau, Grafana, or Databricks
• Familiarity with Airflow for pipeline orchestration is a plus
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
