  • Assess systems and processes for vulnerabilities and define security requirements.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Educate users and new employees on security protocols and best practices.
  • Recommend and implement security enhancements.
  • Research emerging threats, trends, and techniques to proactively prevent breaches.
  • Provide expert guidance on information protection best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and privacy laws.
  • May oversee internal or external security systems, including cloud services.
  • Mentor junior team members and lead critical security initiatives.
  • Network security, security controls, TCP/IP, and security systems.
  • Familiarity with tools and platforms such as:
    • Firewalls & Security Tools: Check Point, Juniper, RSA, Blue Coat, Trend Micro, Websense, F5, Arbor Networks, Splunk, McAfee, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Sophos, Kaspersky, Zscaler, BeyondTrust, FireMon, Gigamon.
    • Security Platforms: CyberArk, Forescout, Hexis, Infoblox, LogRhythm, Quarri, Actiance, Airtight, Axway, TIBCO, Varonis, Xirrus, SafeNet, VMware, Rapid7.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Security monitoring tools (IDS/IPS, SEIM, log management).
    • Authentication systems, antivirus, content filtering.
    • Application development, DevOps, Agile methodology.
    • Microsoft and Linux operating systems (server and workstation).
  • Advanced troubleshooting for security, systems, and networks.
  • Cyber threat management using SNORT, REGEX, YARA, custom signatures.
  • Report writing using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in analytics and systems development.
  • High proficiency in SQL and database management.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Chef, Puppet).
  • Scripting experience in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed, multi-site environments.
  • Knowledge of computer forensics and malware analysis.
