Motion design is a key element in creating a polished, user-friendly, and delightful interface.
Position Overview
We're looking for a Contract Motion Designer for a 3-month engagement. This role focuses on crafting in-product motion experiences using tools like Lottie and Rive, and includes UX motion work-particularly system-driven animations in partnership with the design systems team. Strong communication is essential, as you'll be expected to document motion guidelines clearly and work closely with engineers to ensure smooth implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate motion into visual and brand systems across digital products.
- Collaborate with illustrators and design leads to deliver 2D/3D animated assets.
- Contribute to ideation and concept development for motion design.
- Partner with engineering to implement animations across desktop, mobile, and web platforms.
- Develop scalable motion tokens and guidelines for reuse across systems.
- Deliver production-ready motion assets with clear documentation for development teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in motion design, with at least 2 years in a product-focused environment.
- Strong foundation in visual and motion design principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in interaction motion across platforms (desktop, mobile, web).
- Familiarity with emerging tools and technologies in motion design.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality in-product motion experiences.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projects.
