Project Scheduler
Position Summary
We're looking for a scheduling professional to support the planning and execution of complex initiatives. This role involves building and maintaining detailed timelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that project goals are met on time and within scope.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed project timelines using advanced scheduling software (Primavera P6).
- Partner with leadership and team members to define deliverables, scope, and key milestones.
- Analyze project timelines to identify potential delays and recommend strategies to stay on track.
- Track progress and update schedules regularly to reflect current project status.
- Incorporate labor and cost data into schedules for comprehensive planning and reporting.
- Create visual reports (e.g., Gantt charts, resource histograms) to communicate progress clearly.
- Develop baseline schedules that align with project goals and contractual obligations.
- Conduct schedule reviews to ensure adherence to industry standards and internal protocols.
- Support the preparation of claims, change documentation, and delay assessments.
- Offer guidance and training on scheduling tools and best practices to team members.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Degree in engineering, construction, or a related field with at least 3 years of scheduling experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Demonstrated success managing schedules for large, complex projects.
- Experience with Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and claims preparation is essential.
Technical Expertise:
- Advanced skills in Primavera P6.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and other project planning tools.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and related methodologies.
Core Competencies:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Self-driven and capable of working independently.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities related to project controls.
