We're hiring an experienced Level IV Telecom Installer to support high-level installation projects across telecom environments, including central offices and data centers. This role involves working independently on critical systems, guiding junior technicians, and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. To be eligible for this position, the Installer must be comfortable with air travel, which will be arranged and covered by the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex installation and modification of telecom infrastructure, including:
- Circuit modifications and software upgrades on live systems
- DC power transition work, including battery additions/removals
- Equipment installation (routers, switches, fiber, power systems)
- Rack, mount, and secure telecom equipment and infrastructure components
- Perform cable pulling, lacing, labeling, and termination (copper and fiber)
- Conduct power verification, continuity testing, and fiber/copper diagnostics using OTDRs, power meters, and related tools
- Interpret scopes of work, technical drawings, and installation documentation
- Mark up as-built drawings, complete change logs, and write MOPs and JIMs
- Enforce quality control procedures and complete inspections throughout the install lifecycle
- Act as lead tech or installation in-charge for field crews; oversee Installer I-III team members
- Coordinate closely with engineers, PMs, and field leadership to meet project timelines
- Maintain tool inventory and ensure PPE and safety procedures are followed
Requirements:
- 5+ years of telecom installation experience, including central office or data center environments
- Proficiency in installing cables, racks, power systems, and grounding systems.
- Ability to perform equipment rack mounting, cable lacing, and termination.
- Experience with BDFB and secondary DC power.
- Ability to lead crews, read complex technical plans, and execute detailed scopes of work
- Proficient in telecom installation standards such as AT&T TP76300 / 76409, Telcordia GR1275, Verizon IP72202, etc.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively
Travel & Per Diem:
- This role requires up to 100% travel, including overnight stays and occasional weekends
- Daily per diem provided for meals and incidentals
- Airfare, hotel accommodations, and rental car covered by the company
- Technicians must be comfortable traveling independently and representing the company on-site
