Position Summary
The Senior IT Business Systems Analyst supports Cybersecurity Strategic Initiatives by partnering with business and technology stakeholders to analyze business needs, define requirements, and enable the successful delivery of technology and cybersecurity solutions. This role serves as a key liaison between business and technical teams, helping translate business objectives into actionable requirements while identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, systems, and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable business and technical requirements.
* Analyze existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, standardization, and increased operational efficiency.
* Develop and maintain business and functional requirements, process flows, procedures, use cases, and other supporting documentation.
* Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and project activities, including tracking priorities, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables.
* Support the design, implementation, enhancement, and adoption of technology and cybersecurity solutions.
* Develop test scenarios and perform integration, regression, and user acceptance testing to validate requirements and support successful solution delivery.
* Provide operational support by investigating system and process issues, coordinating resolution, and identifying opportunities to prevent recurring problems.
* Develop and deliver presentations, demonstrations, training materials, job aids, and other resources to support stakeholder communication and user adoption.
* Support Agile delivery activities, including requirements refinement, backlog management, sprint planning, solution reviews, and implementation readiness.
* Identify and recommend improvements to processes, controls, and technologies based on business needs, operational metrics, risk considerations, and lessons learned.
* Build effective working relationships across business, cybersecurity, technology, and external partner teams to support successful execution of strategic initiatives.
Required / Desired Qualifications
* Strong experience in business analysis, including requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation.
* Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
* Experience analyzing and improving business processes, workflows, and supporting systems.
* Experience coordinating projects or initiatives across multiple business and technology stakeholders.
* Hands-on experience with system testing, including integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
* Experience supporting technology solutions and resolving operational or production issues.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.
* Ability to develop executive-ready presentations, process documentation, training materials, job aids, and communications.
* Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies and cross-functional teams.
* Familiarity with ITIL processes and work management platforms such as Service Now and Change Gear.
* Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including PowerPoint and Vision, with strong PowerPoint presentation and visual communication skills.
