Title: Senior Software Developer
Location: Onsite, Irving, TX
Pay: $65.00-$75.00/hour, depends on experience level
Type: Contract

Summary:
Lorien has an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer to join our client, a leader in the ecommerce space, on a contract basis. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in architectural design and lives within commutable distance to Irving, TX for an onsite work environment.

Job Duties:

• Build scalable, reliable software systems across the full development lifecycle, from requirements through deployment
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions for new and existing systems, including patterns, reliability, and scaling considerations
• Develop customer-facing product features using Java
• Use data and metrics to support technical decisions and build supporting business cases
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business needs into technical solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline
• Strong quantitative & analytical ability, using data and metrics to support decisions and build out business cases
• Solid grasp of the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle
• Experience developing on Linux, as well as familiarity with Amazon Web Services
• Background building products for customer-facing users
• 3+ years hands-on Java development experience
• 3+ years shaping system architecture & design (patterns, reliability, scalability) across new and existing systems
• Experience architecting workflow automation systems is highly preferred
• Experience building front-end infrastructure or distributed systems for commercial online products (preferred)
• Experience serving as a tech lead or history of mentoring & coaching junior engineers is preferred
