Mechanical Drafter
Overview
The team is seeking an experienced Mechanical Drafter to support custom engineering solutions that enable the integration of standard products into large-scale turnkey customer systems. The role works closely with customers, engineers, and contract manufacturers to design, document, and deploy custom mechanical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create custom mechanical drawings, designs, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Design, model, and prototype mechanical components for test and measurement systems
- Gather requirements and generate technical specifications
- Collaborate with engineering teams and external manufacturers
- Support deployment of custom solutions
- Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
- 5+ years of mechanical drafting/design experience
- 3-5 years of strong CREO experience
- Proficiency with CREO, Pro/E, and SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of GD&T and mechanical design principles
- Experience creating detailed drawings and design documentation
- Experience working with suppliers/manufacturers
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (ITAR/DoD clearance eligible)
Preferred Qualifications
- Fixture and tooling design
- Thermal and stress analysis
- FMEA and RCCA methodologies
- Manufacturing processes (machining, stamping, extrusion, casting, sheet metal)
- ESD knowledge
- Basic electrical design concepts (grounding, shielding, cable design)

This is a senior-level mechanical drafting/design role focused on aerospace, defense, and government projects. The strongest candidates will have substantial CREO experience, GD&T expertise, custom equipment/enclosure design experience, and the ability to work in an ITAR-regulated environment.
