GIS Technician I

* Maintain and support the company's GIS system by posting, updating, and maintaining utility asset data for electric distribution.

* Review design drawings, maps, plats, redlines, and related documentation and accurately model those assets in GIS.

* Gather, analyze, and maintain geospatial data used as the utility system's system of record.

* Identify, analyze, and resolve GIS data issues and discrepancies.

* Perform QA/QC activities to ensure GIS data accuracy and completeness.

* Correct data quality errors and verify compliance with GIS business rules and standards.

* Communicate with Work Order Owners, Designers, Engineers, and Field personnel to obtain missing information.

Minimum 2 years GIS experience required. Strong background and demonstrated experience in ESRI products preferred. Experience in Smallworld preferred. Utility experience preferred. GIS or related technical degree preferred.
