About the Opportunity


Our client supports live hyperscale data center retrofit, modernization, and capacity expansion projects across one of the most active data center markets in the country. The Mission Critical Construction Manager serves as the onsite leader responsible for safety, quality, schedule, subcontractor coordination, and client relationships across active, live data center projects.

What You'll Need

  • 3-5+ years of Mission Critical and Data Center construction field management experience
  • Experience managing crews within live, operational data center environments
  • Direct, recent experience supporting AWS data center projects required (current/former AWS employee, or contractor who has worked inside AWS facilities)
  • Demonstrated experience operating within a hyperscale environment's security, badging, safety, and operational procedures
  • Experience managing live retrofit, modernization, or capacity expansion projects
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with facility stakeholders, engineering leads, and operations teams
  • Thorough understanding of construction safety and quality best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, electrical drawings, P&ID/BMS Controls diagrams, and safely execute LOTO procedures
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Ability to pass a background check

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily onsite construction activities for live mission critical renovation and upgrade projects
  • Coordinate internal teams and subcontractors across BMS, EPMS, mechanical, electrical, and structural scopes
  • Drive project safety, quality, schedule, and field execution while championing a strong safety culture
  • Support Project Management with planning, scheduling, coordination, and project closeout
  • Provide technical direction to trade partners and field crews
  • Coordinate RFIs, submittals, site logistics, as-built documentation, and site access/badging
  • Build strong relationships with client, subcontractor, and internal teams
  • Support estimating efforts and continuous process improvement

Nice to Have

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Experience with BMS and EPMS systems construction, integration, and commissioning
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, structural, and architectural trades
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
