Senior RAN Optimization Engineer
Plano, TX
Senior-level RAN Optimization Engineer with deep LTE/5G optimization experience supporting large-scale wireless networks. This role focuses on RAN tuning, KPI optimization, Layer 3 analysis, drive test analysis, and network performance improvements across live LTE/5G environments. Candidates should be comfortable operating independently, leading technical efforts, and communicating directly with customers and internal teams.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of wireless/RAN engineering experience
• BSEE, BSCS, or equivalent telecom/wireless experience
• Strong LTE and 5G NR optimization/tuning experience within live networks
• Experience leading technical activities across large-scale wireless projects
• Experience supporting major metro or statewide network deployments
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills

Hands-on experience with:

• LTE / 5G NR optimization
• Massive MIMO, mmWave, CBRS, LAA, IoT
• Multi-vendor wireless environments
• Layer 3 analysis and KPI troubleshooting
• Accessibility, retainability, mobility, and HO optimization
• Capacity optimization and enhanced uplink tuning

Experience with planning and optimization tools such as:

• Atoll
• Planet EV
• ACP (Automatic Cell Planning)
• TEMS
• Actix
• Ericsson ENM
• Agilent / Rohde & Schwarz tools
