Senior Controls Engineer
Location: Huntsville, AL
Schedule: Monday-Thursday

We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This role is ideal for an experienced engineering professional who has progressed beyond entry-level responsibilities and is ready to take on more specialized, independent assignments.

In this position, you will apply established company policies, procedures, and industry standards to resolve a variety of moderate‑scope engineering and manufacturing challenges. You will operate with limited supervision, receiving general guidance for routine work and more detailed direction for new projects or complex assignments. As a key contributor, you'll serve as a bridge between high‑level engineering strategy and day‑to‑day manufacturing execution, building strong professional relationships and exercising sound judgment within defined procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, select, and recommend manufacturing equipment that is appropriate and cost-effective for company production needs
  • Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and ongoing maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Maintain up-to-date records of equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues
  • Analyze equipment performance and reliability to identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop and implement programs and solutions to increase equipment uptime and address issues impacting the manufacturing process
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing equipment repair teams and process engineering organizations
  • Define and document preventative maintenance schedules and best practices

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of product manufacturing experience
  • Master's degree and no experience
  • At least 3 years of product manufacturing experience
