Site Reliability Engineer (Python/Golang)

Site Reliability Engineer (Infrastructure / Fleet Services)
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support foundational infrastructure services that power large‑scale compute fleets. This role focuses on lower‑stack systems engineering, bridging physical hardware with software-from rack‑level provisioning through OS deployment and fleet health monitoring.
Responsibilities

• Own core infrastructure services such as DHCP, DNS, NTP, and PXE
• Build, test, and maintain Linux operating systems and kernels (Ubuntu) across the fleet
• Develop automation for end‑to‑end rack provisioning, including network device detection, OS installation, and configuration management
• Build tooling to monitor datacenter environments (power, temperature, humidity)
• Own services that monitor fleet and hardware health and drive automated remediations
• Partner with orchestration teams to hand off fully provisioned systems
• Participate in an on‑call rotation supporting production services

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of coding experience (Python required, Golang a plus)
• 1+ year working with Linux in a production environment
• Experience building or supporting distributed systems
• Familiarity with DHCP, DNS, NTP, PXE, and monitoring tools

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of Linux experience
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• Exposure to hardware provisioning or fleet management
• Nice to have: JavaScript frameworks (Angular or React)
