Lead DC Power Technician
Indianapolis, IN (Travel Required)



Position Overview
We're seeking a Lead DC Power Technician to lead field crews supporting installs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of DC power systems in live environments (central offices, data centers, telecom sites). The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on DC power experience, proven leadership in the field, and the ability to troubleshoot and keep projects moving in live environments.

Must-have / Requirements

  • 8+ yrs hands-on experience with DC power systems (batteries, rectifiers, inverters, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting background in live telecom, data center, or critical power environments
  • Proven experience leading crews in the field
  • Valid driver's license with clean record; open to frequent, potential overnight travel
  • Able to interact with customers and lead junior techs
  • Comfortable handling documentation, service reports, and job closeouts


Daily Responsibilities

  • Lead field teams performing installs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of DC power systems, battery strings, and backup power equipment
  • Oversee quality of work on-site and ensure jobs are completed safely and to spec
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and drive resolution in real time
  • Coordinate with project managers, customers, and internal teams on job progress and timelines
  • Handle job documentation, service reporting, and material tracking
  • Mentor junior technicians and act as the go-to technical lead on site


Other Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50-70 lbs (battery work, equipment installs)
  • Able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and be on feet for extended periods
  • Must pass background check, drug screen, and DOT medical requirements
