About the Role
As a Data Center Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the hardware health, reliability, and uptime of large‑scale data centers. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about technology, eager to learn, and comfortable working hands‑on with servers and related hardware components.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on servers, storage devices, and networking equipment.
  • Install, replace, and configure components such as hard drives, memory, CPUs, power supplies, and system boards.
  • Participate in hardware break/fix workflows, including triage, escalation, and documentation.
  • Support rack/stack activities, including cabling, labeling, and hardware deployment.
  • Perform root‑cause analysis for recurring hardware issues and report findings to senior technicians or engineers.
  • Track inventory of spare parts and maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
  • Follow established procedures for ESD safety, tool usage, and general data center best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Networking, Engineering, Logistics) to support data center operations.
  • Uphold high standards for security, safety, and operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware (e.g., RAM, CPUs, SSDs, motherboards).
  • Ability to follow structured troubleshooting steps and read technical documentation.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, physically active environment (lifting up to 40 lbs, standing for extended periods).
  • Willingness to work on a rotating schedule, including nights or weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree, technical certification (CompTIA A+, Server+, or similar), or previous IT/hardware repair experience.
  • Experience building or repairing PCs, servers, or related electronics.
  • Familiarity with Linux command‑line basics.
  • Understanding of data center concepts such as racks, cabling standards, and power distribution.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
