Job Title: Quality Engineer
Shift: 1st Shift
Hours: 40 hours/week (up to ~5 hours of overtime per week)
Visa Sponsorship: Not available now or in the future

Position Overview
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing and shop‑floor operations by driving quality initiatives, resolving product and process issues, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. This role is highly team‑oriented and requires strong collaboration with inspectors, internal partners, and external stakeholders. Candidates should be comfortable spending 50-75% of their time on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize quality tools and methodologies to establish approval criteria and identify quality concerns.
  • Investigate unit‑related quality issues, collect and analyze data, identify root causes, and implement/facilitate corrective actions.
  • Provide direction to inspectors regarding containment activities, quality procedures, and monitoring of critical processes.
  • Lead and support quality‑focused discussions with internal and external customers.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly quality reports to track metrics and participate in management reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement (CI) and support related initiatives.


Required Qualifications
Education:

  • Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree preferred, but other technical degrees or equivalent work experience will also be considered.


Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.


Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Previous shop‑floor experience is highly desired.


Other:

  • Ability to wear required PPE, including metatarsal boots.
