Data Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, Dagster, and modern orchestration frameworks.
- Build and support data architectures that enable analytics, reporting, and business intelligence solutions.
- Develop ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from multiple internal systems into a centralized data environment.
- Optimize data models for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Support cloud data platform migration initiatives, including pipeline transitions and validation activities.
- Collaborate with the broader Data Engineering team to define and uphold best practices.
- Design and implement advanced Power BI dashboards and reports, emphasizing performance and user experience.
- Build solutions using the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) to support self‑service analytics and workflow automation.
- Analyze complex datasets to uncover insights and inform strategic decision‑
- Ask critical questions, challenge assumptions, and offer data‑driven recommendations.
- Translate ambiguous business needs into actionable analytical solutions.
- Present insights to stakeholders using compelling visualizations and clear storytelling.
- Partner with multiple business functions across the organization to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
- Independently facilitate stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, present updates, and document outcomes.
- Mentor team members on technical concepts, tools, and best practices.
- Lead technical deep dives and internal training sessions.
- Participate in regular team ceremonies and cross‑functional meetings.
- Collaborate on code reviews, troubleshooting, and solution design.
- Track all work in project management tools (e.g., JIRA) with clear task updates and status reporting.
- Thoroughly document code, pipelines, reports, and processes for continuity.
- Maintain version control using GitHub with proper branching and collaboration practices.
- Proactively communicate progress, risks, and blockers while delivering projects on schedule.
- Contribute to runbooks, knowledge base articles, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics.
- Expert SQL skills (complex queries, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning, stored procedures).
- Strong Python programming experience for data engineering and automation.
- Experience with modern orchestration tools (Dagster preferred; Airflow, Prefect, etc. acceptable).
- Cloud platform experience (e.g., AWS S3, Redshift, or similar cloud data architectures).
- Advanced Power BI development with strong DAX and data modeling capabilities.
- Proficiency with GitHub for version control and code collaboration.
- End‑to‑end pipeline development across multiple source systems.
- Deep understanding of data warehousing principles, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT patterns.
