w2 ONLY Mechanical Engineer -US Citizen ONLY, ability to qualify for DoD Clearance

Sr Mechanical Engineer to work on custom engineering opportunities that enable the sale of standard Products. The primary responsibilities of this position are to work with customers, sales personnel, R&D Engineering and Alliance Partners to define, document, design and deploy products tailored to meet specific customer requirements for large scale turnkey engineering solutions.

This is a multi-functional role dealing with diverse engineering needs, including the ability to gather requirements, generate specification documents, interface with alliance partners and internal personnel to design and deploy solutions worldwide. s

Experience and Skill Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
BS Degree: in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
Minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience in a Mechanical Design Role
US Citizen ONLY, ability to work on ITAR projects and qualify for DoD Clearances
Thorough understanding of fundamental mechanical design principles and process
Intimate knowledge of 2D & 3D design tools i.e., Creo, SolidWorks
Proficient with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles
Excellent oral and written communication skills
History of generating Statements of Work and design documentation
Successful history of working with external suppliers

Preferred Skills
Familiar with fixture and tool design
Familiar with thermal analysis and stress analysis
Knowledge of FMEA and RCCA methodologies
Knowledge of fabrication techniques (machining, stamping, extrusion, casting, sheet metal layout, etc.)
Knowledge of ESD principles
Basic knowledge of electrical design principles i.e., grounding, shielding, cable design
