Droen pilot
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) safely during all phases of ground and flight operations, including emergency procedures.
- Coordinate flight schedules, airspace access, and resource allocation for UAV missions.
- Support integration and testing of UAV systems and related technologies.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams; maintain professionalism and responsiveness.
- Perform routine inspections and ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Travel as needed for project assignments; occasional weekend work may be required.
- Complete additional tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- FAA Part 107 certification required.
- Minimum 2-3 years of UAV flight and technical experience.
- At least 2-3 years of geospatial experience required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with Leica Cyclone is a plus.
- Prior land surveying experience (1-3 years) preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with clients and team members at all levels.
Skills & Knowledge
- Understanding of UAV operations, airspace coordination, and safety protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and maintain UAV systems.
- Knowledge of surveying principles and geospatial data collection.
- Comfortable using CAD software and related tools for project deliverables.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, humidity, rain).
