Principal Software Engineer

The Role

As a founding engineer, you'll play a critical role in shaping the technical foundation of our product. You'll help take the concept from early design to a production-ready MVP and beyond. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building from scratch, and wants their work to have immediate and visible impact.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement core components of the platform.
• Develop scalable, high-performance code (primarily in Python).
• Collaborate on product roadmap and technical strategy.
• Build and maintain infrastructure for AI and ML systems.
• Establish best practices for development, testing, and deployment.
• Contribute across the entire product lifecycle-from ideation to launch.
• Help define engineering culture and mentor future team members.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 4+ years of professional Python experience.
• Hands-on experience (1+ year) with generative AI and agent-based systems using LLMs and frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Strong backend development skills and experience shipping production systems.
• Self-driven and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice-to-Have

• Cloud expertise (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of additional languages (Java, C++, TypeScript).
• Familiarity with Python packaging and build systems.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science is a plus.
