Instructional Designer
Scope & Complexity
Design and Create Learning Materials
- Designs, develops, and maintains learning programs and materials that support all departments across Risk Operations.
- Ensures all training materials align with company brand guidelines and deliver a cohesive learner experience.
- Provides recommendations for training solutions that address business needs and performance gaps.
- Creates content that can be effectively delivered both digitally and in-person, supporting future trainer-led opportunities.
Stakeholder Management
- Partners closely with department stakeholders to define learning goals, objectives, and success metrics.
- Builds strong relationships across teams to ensure training solutions meet operational priorities and timelines.
Project Management
- Manages multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, maintaining clear priorities and timelines.
- Balances workload effectively while collaborating with teammates and subject matter experts (SMEs).
Measurement & Reporting
- Tracks and reports on key learning metrics, learner engagement, and training effectiveness.
- Uses data and feedback to continuously improve learning programs and learner outcomes.
Knowledge & Experience
- Partners with SMEs to translate complex or technical content into structured, engaging, and digestible learning experiences.
- Designs clear learning objectives, assessments, and activities that support skill development and behavior change.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and blended learning strategies.
- Evaluates training requests to ensure they align with business needs and add value to Risk Operations.
- Maintains awareness of operational goals, performance metrics, and compliance priorities.
- Designs programs that consider learner needs, use cases, and operational realities to close skill and knowledge gaps.
- Focused on creating meaningful, robust learning experiences that drive confidence, competence, and performance.
