Lead DC Power Service Technician

Overview:
In this role, you'll lead field operations, manage DC power installations and upgrades, ensure compliance with safety standards, and mentor fellow technicians. This position supports critical infrastructure for clients in the telecom, UPS, and utility sectors and requires a strong mix of technical skill, leadership, and field experience.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in DC Power systems (Telecom, UPS, or Utilities) including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting - preferably as a lead technician
- Hands-on experience installing and managing batteries, rectifier plants, and power distribution systems
- Ability to perform diagnostics, including load tests, voltage and gravity readings, and general system troubleshooting
- Experience mentoring or leading field technicians
- Ability to travel frequently throughout the Phoenix region with occasional outside travel
- Valid driver's license required; company truck, lodging, and per diem provided.
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain DC power systems and rectifier plants across all voltage levels, ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards
- Execute ironwork and cable rack installations in Zone 4 environments with precision and safety
- Lead DC power plant upgrades and replacements while minimizing service disruption
- Install, crimp, lace, and manage power cables to ensure clean and reliable connectivity
- Prepare test reports, MOPs (Methods of Procedure), and maintain accurate documentation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers - providing updates, addressing inquiries, and ensuring satisfaction
- Oversee job sites, inspect tools and equipment, identify hazards, and enforce safety standards
- Work with AC power systems (120V-480V) while maintaining compliance with all company and industry regulations
- Train and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 technicians
